It is a public school which will have all bilingual lines and units of the school. It is composed of the second cycle of Early Years of Education and Primary Education. We are going to have four lines per school year (A,B,C and D) having twelve units for Early Years and twenty four for Primary Education.
Bilingual modality will be implemented in our school since the second cycle of Early Years Education. Also, in Primary Education we are going to have the same modality. At least, 50% of the subjects must be taught in the foreign language.
Why Mandela? ☺
MANDELA was a proper name for us to choose due to the equal character of our school, we wanted to have this historical character as a reference for the values that we want to promote in our C.E.I.P Mandela that are against racism, so Nelson Mandela was one of the most representative in terms of racial equality. He fought all his life against the Aparheid, it was a regime which pretended to take black people’s rights by discriminating them between others.
In relation to its socio-cultural context, it includes people of all the different cultures, religions, etc. Thus creating an inclusive environment encouraging equality.
Regarding families' profiles, we can see different families’ profiles. The objective of our school is to create students capable of achieving the basic competences to act properly in different situations of the real world. The latter could not be achieved if we do not have the families support, so they will have an important role in all the school processes of each student.
We want create students to be competent, to have respect towards others and to have a desire to learn among others.
